Cloud and Infrastructure Administrator

The Cloud and Infrastructure Administrator is responsible for ensuring cloud services, applications, network, and connectivity are secure, reliable, scalable, and cost-effective. As well as troubleshooting and resolving any issues related to the cloud, application, and network performance, availability, and security, while effectively managing service providers.

This role requires hand-on experience researching, recommending, implementing, and monitoring technical solutions to address business problems, focusing on effectiveness, efficiency, and automation to deliver to Cashco’s objectives. The administrator also works closely with other team members and stakeholders to design, implement, and optimize the cloud solutions that meet business needs and objectives. This role continues to evolve and implement the technology policies, standards, procedures, and operational best practices, in order to efficiently and effectively enable Cashco.

The Cloud and Infrastructure is role has a strong alignment with Cashco’s values, requires a very strong team first attitude, great communication and execution skills, with deep technical competency. As such, the successful candidate is proactive, customer focused, a curious nature, and passionate about learning and sharing knowledge.

Key Responsibilities:

· Install, configure, monitor, and manage cloud servers, storage, network, applications, databases, backups, and security.

· Configure and automate the cloud operations and processes, using tools and scripts to improve efficiency and reliability.

· Perform regular maintenance and updates of the cloud systems and software.

· Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve incidents and provide timely and effective solutions related for cloud services, and applications performance, security, and availability.

· Provide guidance of cloud services and optimize cloud resources and costs.

· Collaborate with technical team members to deploy and support cloud-based solutions.

· Implement and enforce the cloud policies and standards, such as access control, encryption, backup, disaster recovery, and compliance.

· Collaborate and communicate with other IT team members and stakeholders to understand the cloud requirements and expectations and provide guidance and support.

· Research and evaluate the latest cloud technologies and best practices and recommend improvements and enhancements.

· Document and report the cloud activities and performance, and provide feedback and suggestions for improvement.

· Create and sustain cloud, network and application performance dashboards that contributes to Cashco’s KPIs.

· Provide insight for technology performance improvements.

· Develop and cultivate relationships throughout the organization and promote a collaborative approach to utilizing technology to help achieve business goals and objectives.

· Contribute to the development, implementation and testing of a Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery Plan.

· Research, evaluate, and recommend existing and new trends and emerging innovative technological choices.

· Acquire efficient and cost effective technology services and products.

· Support the development and knowledge of team members.

· Effectively manage vendors and service providers.

Qualifications and Experience:

· Bachelor Degree in Computer Science or Computer Technology Diploma, with a minimum of 5+ years of Cloud and Networking experience is required.

· Certification in cloud administration is an asset.

· ITIL certification is preferred.

· AWS Security Specialty is an asset.

Knowledge and Skills:

· Knowledge of current and leading-edge technologies.

· Experience with efficient implementation, optimization, and management of cloud administration and technology preferably with AWS or Azure.

· Strong knowledge and skills in cloud computing concepts, architectures, and services, such as IaaS, SaaS, PaaS, serverless, and multi cloud.

· Proficient in cloud administration tools and platforms, such as CloudFormation, Terraform, Ansible, Kubernetes, Dockers, Jenkins.

· Experience in cloud security and compliance, such as IAM, encryption, firewall, VPN, and audit.

· Experience in cloud performance and optimization, such as monitoring, scaling, load balancing, and caching.

· Experience in cloud troubleshooting and problem-solving, using tools and methods such as logs, metrics, alerts, and root cause analysis.

· Experience with implementation, optimization, and management of WAN/LAN (networking, routing and switching) technologies.
