Product Manager

A Product Manager is responsible for overseeing all activities relating to researching, designing, building, and marketing products on behalf of the organization. Some responsibilities include completing market research to find out more about competitor products or customer needs, overseeing a team of technology and product professionals, managing product budgets and timelines, and coordinating with the client care and customer insights departments to identify potential product defects or customer suggestions.

This role will be a key factor in leading the product strategy and development of cutting-edge products in our industry. You will need to collaborate with cross-functional teams, drive innovation, and ensure product success from ideation to launch.

Within this role, you will portray strong communication, analytical and collaboration skills, along with a passion for technology and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities of the Role

Product and Business Planning

· Monitor and ensure business goals are being met or exceeded and all other identified strategic priorities.

· Take appropriate action as necessary to meet set budgets and goals.

· Explore, investigate, and recommend new opportunities to increase revenue.

· Support the achievement of corporate goals.

· Participates in the planning and execution of product initiatives.

· Create and maintain product roadmaps.

Client Experience and Product Strategy:

· Continuously monitoring the product’s performance and gathering feedback from customers and stakeholders, using data-driven insights to make informed decisions and prioritize future improvements.

· Analyze the competitive and market environment.

· Create, manage, and maintain customer stories to enhance documents throughout the organization.

· Engage in client presentations and discussions, effectively communicating the value and impact of product research.

· Treat clients with dignity and respect and foster a skillful, competent, positive, and expressive culture.

Product Management:

· Develops a clear and inspiring product vision that aligns with the organization’s mission and strategy.

· Communicate product vision, roadmap, and progress internal cross-functional stakeholders.

· Generates new and innovative ideas for the product and champions these ideas to stakeholders and the development team.

· Balances short-term and long-term goals and makes strategic decisions that will benefit the product and the organization in the long run.

· Continuously refine the product vision based on feedback and market trends and adapt to changing circumstances and opportunities.

· Emphasizes the importance of the product vision and strategy to the development team and inspires them to be creative and take risks in pursuit of the product vision.

· Celebrates team successes and learnings from failures, using these experiences to refine the product vision and strategy.

· Build and nurture productive cross-departmental partnerships.

Risk Management:

· Ensuring that the product is compliant with all relevant regulations and standards and managing any legal or ethical considerations related to the product.

· Ensure all client information is kept strictly confidential in accordance with Cashco Financials’ privacy policies.

· Adhere to Cashco’s policies and procedures to mitigate the risk of loss by maintaining effective controls.

· Ensure necessary due diligence is taken to support the accuracy of all client information.

Product Insights and Relationship Building:

· Serve as the voice of the customer and the business and possess a fundamental understanding of end-to-end customer experience.

· Develops a deep understanding of the client’s needs, desires, and pain points, and uses this knowledge to guide product strategy and development.

· Defines and prioritizes product backlog items based on the value they will deliver to the client and ensures that the development team has a clear understanding of the client’s needs and expectations.

· Monitors the product’s performance and gathers feedback from clients, using data-driven insights to make informed decisions and prioritize future improvements.

Stakeholder Services:

· Collaborates closely with cross-functional teams (e.g. developers, designers, marketers, and quality assurance) to ensure that the product meets customer needs and is delivered on time and within budget.

· Facilitates effective communication and collaboration between team members, promoting a culture of transparency and trust.

· Encourages the team to share their ideas and insights and incorporates this feedback into the product backlog and development process.

· Actively seeks input and feedback from stakeholders (e.g. clients, direct reports, executives, and other departments) to ensure that the product meets their needs and expectations.

Qualifications/Experience/Environment

· Completed Bachelor’s Degree in Business and/or Marketing, or related field.

· Minimum 5years’ working experience in a Product Owner/Product Manager/Product Development related role.

· Certified Agile or Scrum Product Owner is preferred.

· Must promote a team environment.

· Is familiar with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)

· Experience in financial/banking industry is an asset.

· Hybrid Work – Onsite 3 days per week (Tues/Weds/Thurs).
